A Series of Untried Nail Art: 2 – Ombré

Hello 🙂

Today I have my second post for this series. It was meant to be up yesterday but I didn’t have the time 😦 better late than never…

So I’ve done gradients before but always with different colours and nothing that ever really classified as ombré. I was going to do it across the nails but then I incorporated it into my August Nail Art Challenge for Stripes and only ended up doing 2 feature nails.

Ombre Nails

Once again, I used all Barry M’s – mostly from their Gelly collection.
On my index and pinky is 1 coat of Greenberry over a base of white and on my ring and middle finger is a gradient from Guava through Greenberry and Sugar Apple to Matt White. To create the stripes I just used different lengths of striping tape and sponged the gradient over a white base!

Simples!
I’m going to make this series a weekly thing! I THINK I might try the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge. But… I still can’t decide 😦

1. Saran Wrap
2. Ombré (I know, I know…)

3. Water Marble
4. Stamping (Yup, another simple one)
5. Feathers
6. Foils
7. Splatter Nails
8. Galaxy Nails (I know it’s not a ‘technique’ as such but… ya know)
9. Nail Vinyls
10. Caviar
11. Dry Brush
12. ‘Drip’ nails (I’ll try and explain this one when I get to it!)
13. Dry Marbling
14. Water Colour

P.S. Click on the completed ones to view!
