Be warned this post is photo heavy! and I want to apologise once again for the lack of posts! One word: Dissertation!
So I actually won these in a giveaway from Tips and Topcoats a while ago! But you can buy them from Beauty Bay. The 3 I received are from their own range ‘The Collection’, which includes makeup as well as polishes (I may have to check this out!). The polishes are 12ml, a good size, free from DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde – always a bonus and are Limited Edition!
First up is Fairy Lights Twinkle on Fifth Avenue. On the site it’s described as a ‘high performance, clear polish loaded with golden shimmer and holographic glitter particles to create the twinkling effect of fairy lights’. I can vouch for the golden shimmer and holographic goodness!
This is 2 coats over the black and a glitter gradient over the white. It contains holographic glitter hexes in small and large. I love the rainbow-y sparkle it creates! I think I prefer it over a white base. It applies well as there’s no need to fish for the large hexes at all. I think it has pretty good coverage for a glitter topper but I don’t think it’ll be enough to wear alone.
Next is Tinsel Sparkles on Michigan Avenue. This is described as ‘ the perfect shade for a metallic party manicure’. It’s a silver shimmery foil polish.
This applies really well. I’m wearing two coats here but you could get away with one, the second coat just smooths it out really. I’m not normally a fan of shimmery polishes but this one had me mesmerised! It’s gorgeous and I think it’s going to be incorporated in my New Years mani.
Last but not least is It’s Snowing on Main Street, an ‘iridescent glitter polish’ that ‘reminds us of a snow globe and is the perfect polish for adding a touch of enchantment to your manicure’.
The photos don’t do this one justice! It’s SPARKLY! It has small square glitters and medium hexes. This is 2 coats over a black polish. It applies really well, no fishing for glitters needed and has pretty good coverage. I’m intrigued to try this over other colours but unfortunately I didn’t have time when swatching them.
Overall, I’m in love with these polishes and I really want some more! Like really, REALLY. In fact they have some christmas gift sets on the site at £9.95 for 5 polishes! 5! (*hint hint* mum if you read this!)
Even though I already own 3 of these, I want both of these sets! The offer is too good to miss. The price is amazing considering they are full size and a single polish costs £5 (still a pretty decent price). You can also buy these individually and they have a nice range of other polish colours too which you can find here.
Hope you enjoyed this sparkle loaded post 🙂
