Ciate encore, sugar plum, fit for a queen and kiss chase

Ciaté Mini Mani Month: Days 5-8 & A Series of Untried Nail Art: 13 – Blobbicure

Hello 🙂

I have combined 2 posts today, simply because I didn’t get a chance to do or upload no. 13 of my Untried series yesterday as I was finalising my dissertation (which is now completed and handed in! *dances*). So I have that for you today and days 5-8 of my Ciaté Mini Mani Month, which I’ll start with. You can find days 1-4 here.

Ciate encore, sugar plum, fit for a queen and kiss chase Ciate encore, sugar plum, fit for a queen and kiss chase Ciate encore, sugar plum, fit for a queen and kiss chase Ciate encore, sugar plum, fit for a queen and kiss chaseDay 4: Encore. A sort of rusty, orange/brown colour. 1 coat + topcoat. So, umm.. this was disappointing.. the formula was awful. Although I only need one coat is was pretty thick and gloopy making it difficult to appy!

Day 5: Sugar PlumA soft lilac. 2 coats + topcoat. Quite thin on first application but became opaque on the second which I was surprised. Much better formula and nice and smooth application 🙂

Day 6: Fit For A QueenGorgeous glittery silver. 2 coats + topcoat. Probably could have done with a third coat but other than it, it’s decent polish and really easy to work with.

Day 7: Kiss ChaseBright bubblegum pink! Not normally my cup of tea but I do quite like this one. 2 coats + topcoat. No issues with formula, thicker than Sugar Plum but no where near as thick as Encore!

3/4 once again! Really do not like Encore. If this so happened to be the only Ciaté polish I tried I think it would put me off the brand! Anyway, I used Fit For A Queen and Kiss Chase for the next part of my post – Blobbicure. I’d originally been calling this ‘Drip’ nails which could have been misleading but at the time of writing I had no idea what it was called!

Blobbicure

One at a time, I applied one generous coat of Kiss Chase and then when it was still wet, literally blobbed on some Fit For A Queen and wallah! It’s spreads out and makes a pretty pattern of.. well blobs! It reminds me of Dinosaurs for some reason.. which I like. I then applied 2 coats of Fit For a Queen on my other 2 nails and once all were dry applied a top coat. So quick and simple with the added bonus of no mess. Only 2 left to go now until this series is over! Might have to find some new ones 😉
