Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Autumn/Winter 2015 Swatches

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Autumn/Winter 2015 Swatches – Midnight and Glitter

Hello!

I have for you today 6 new polishes from Barry M! I have 4 Midnight Gellies and 2 Glitter(!!) Gellies. I have already showed you the Speedy Quick Dry A/W’15 release and last years A/W Gellies were just as exciting but let’s take a look at this years. Be warned.. this is picture heavy, hence why I’ve made the images smaller than usual but you can view them full size if you click on them! All swatches are in order of: bottle shot, 1 coat, 2 coat, plus topcoat, plus matte topcoat…

Black Currant is a deep rich burgundy that once you apply 2 coats becomes a tinted black, as with all of the first 4 of these new polishes! I absolutely love this idea as it’s something different. It’s hard to picture the true colour which is why I have chosen to show you them all with one coat so you can really see the undertones of the polishes.
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Pistachio Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Pistachio Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Pistachio Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Pistachio

Black Pistachio is a gorgeous deep dark forest green that again becomes a tinted black once 2 coats are applied. Despite them all being so dark you can definitely distinguish between them all.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Grape Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Grape Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Grape Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Grape

Black Grape is a hard colour to describe – it’s like a navy but it’s bright at the same time and as soon as you apply the second coat it becomes super dark and rich but it still has the depth of the blue. I love it.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Cherry Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Cherry Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Cherry Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Black Cherry

Black Cherry is a dark brown toned red that doesn’t become as dark as the other 3 upon the second coat. I also found this one to be a little more streaky and could’ve probably done with a 3rd coat and then maybe we would have seen the same affect as the others.

On to the GLITTER GELLIES. These are gorgeous and I hope they give us some more over time, as this is the first time we’ve seen glitters in the gellies. Sparkling Amethyst is a pink toned plummy purple (good description I know 😉 haha) with pinky/purply glitter specks of tiny glitter that gives it a real depth. It applies perfectly in 2 coats and is still super shiny but also looks amazing mattified as it captures the glitters.

The same goes for Sparkling Ruby a true wine red which is just as sparkly as Amethyst. I found this applied the same as the purple but it didn’t go as matte – which is weird, maybe that’s down to my application, who knows! I don’t want to say it so i’ll say it quietly… this one will be prefect for *christmas* shh…

The Gelly nail paints are now available in Superdrug and will be available in Boots on the 30th September (although I bought mine in boots 2 on the 25th!). The Glitter Gelly nail paints are now available exclusively in Superdrug. All nail paints are their usual Gelly price of £3.99

Well that was an exciting post and I can’t wait to start wearing these this Autumn/Winter

Barry M Speedy Quick Autumn

Barry M 2015 Autumn Speedy Quick Dry – Swatches and Review

Hello 🙂

Today I have the new Barry M Autumn 2015 Speedy Quick Dry nail paints. This release brings us 4 new colours (which are currently only available at Superdrug) which I think are prefect for autumn and winter. All the polishes have the wider style brush that they’ve been using for their new releases and dry pretty quickly. I think due to their pigmentation the last 2 I’m showing you still bled a little when I applied a topcoat, even though they were dry.
Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Dead Heat Autumn Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Dead Heat Autumn Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Dead Heat Autumn

Dead Heat is a true bright red, there’s nothing spectacular about it – it’s a red.
Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Dragster Autumn Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Dragster Autumn Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Dragster Autumn

Dragster is a dark grey, the darkest Barry M has ever release and it reminds me of tarmac. I love a good grey and I think this would be a good staple for the autumn and would make a nice gradient with a couple of the polishes from last years Gelly Hi-Shine autumn release.
Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Sprint Finish Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Sprint Finish

Sprint Finish is my favourite of the four and as a pink toned purple/burgundy it is very in with what I’ve seen around in the clothes shops. It is one of my favourite colours to wear. (Sorry i lost my matte photo of this and I didn’t have time to swatch it again as I’m working a lot right now.)
Barry M Speedy Quick Slip Stream Autumn Barry M Speedy Quick Slip Stream Finish

Slip Stream is a true purple that is just a touch lighter than their Plum from the Gelly range. (Yup I lost my topcoated swatch but it’s pretty similar to the bottle shot) I also like this one and feel like it’s a good colour to have in the collection BUT I do feel like there could have been a few more colours but you never know we might see some more autumn releases.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂
