Flormar Nail Swatches

One Month On… Holiday Buys! – Flormar and Sephora

Hello 🙂

I know it’s a little late but something came up in my private life that meant I haven’t had the time to post about the polishes I bought while I was on my summer holiday this year. I picked up 6 Flormar polishes and 1 Sephora polish while I was travelling round Europe, so lets take a look 🙂

Flormar Extreme GrapeFlormar Extreme Grape Flormar Extreme Grape Flormar Extreme Grape

Extreme Grape is a gorgeous purple matte that has a perfect finish with 2 coats. It dries super quickly too! I believe that it was around €3.00 but I honestly can’t remember – it was so long ago now!

Flormar Elegant Green Flormar Elegant Green Flormar Elegant Green Flormar Elegant Green

Elegant Green is another lovely deep autumnal colour. It’s midway between forest green and a dark teal and I love it. This is one of my favourite colours to wear, along with dark purples and reds, in the autumn so I actually picked this one up just in time for the season. It’s a great 2 coater but it did stain the skin around my nails a little as it’s highly pigmented.

Flormar Sky Blue Flormar Sky Blue Flormar Sky BlueSky Blue is from Flormar’s Jelly Look collection which is meant to have that gel manicure finish of a super shine. It is shiny but it’s not THAT shiny and it definitely needed 3 coats rather than 2 (as shown). It has a similar style brush to the new Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail paints which makes it a hell of a lot easier for me to paint my nails as I have quite small nail beds with a very rounded cuticle area so square brushes are no good.

Flormar 377 Flormar 377 Flormar 377377 – this polish didn’t actually have a name but it’s an orangey-toned red from the classic nail enamel range and it was perfect for the rest of my holiday abroad 🙂 It was a good 2 coater and dried pretty quickly.

Flormar Snow White Flormar Snow White Flormar Snow White Flormar Snow White

Snow White is another of the nail enamels and it has decent coverage as far as whites go. It probably could have done with a 3rd coat but 2 is enough if you’re just using it as a base.

Flormar Frog Prince Flormar Frog Prince Flormar Frog Prince Flormar Frog Prince

Frog Prince is a mint green that again could’ve done with 3 coats rather than 2 but it’s an okay polish. I do have very similar colours from other brands that are better than this.

Sephora Sun, Sea and Fun Sephora Sun, Sea and Fun Sephora Sun, Sea and Fun Sephora Sun, Sea and Fun

Sun, Sea and Fun is gorgeous royal blue Sephora nail polish that I picked up when in Spain – it was €5 I believe. The coverage was okay, I wasn’t wowed by it. The first coat was very streaky and translucent and the second almost evened it out, almost. I can say that it dries relatively quickly.

So there we finally have it: my summer holiday polish purchases!

Stick around for some exciting new Barry M Gellies, NailBox goodies and Poundland polishes 🙂
