I’m excited to share these swatches with you! It’s the Charming Tale’s Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection! It consists of 4 fantastic holos and 1 glitter topper with all swatches showing 2 coats plus topcoat. I’m going to say now that all the holos had perfect application and that you could probably get away with one coat. I found that adding a topcoat helped make them extra shiny. I used Cloak of Invisibility a peel of basecoat also from Charming Tale to make swatching easier for me – this is also available for grabs in my giveaway. But let’s get on with the swatches…
I have something a bit different for you today, in the form of Soap Dodger’s Hand Lover’s Gift Set. I find that this time of year I need to take extra care of my hands – particularly my cuticles – as they get so dry in autumn/winter and I need pretty hands to compliment my mani!
First of all I forgot to take a photo of the packaging but it comes in a white box with coloured ribbon and branded brown tag on, which I thought was a nice touch. The set contains Hand Repair Balm (70g), Butter Love/Hand Love (100g), Cuticle Balm (20g), ‘Ard As Nails mini (5ml) and moisturising gloves. The scent for Hand Love and nail polish colour varies but I believe you can request the nail polish colour if you want, just check the website if you do go ahead and purchase this. I received the colour Shorona for the nail polish (which I havent had the chance to swatch yet but I’ll put a mini review on my instagram when I do!) and the scent is Kelleher’s Karma for Hand Love . Here’s the description from the website: This fragrance has top notes of Melon, tagette and geranium leaf, middle notes of Lotus flower, soft lily and jasmine. The base notes are Sandalwood, Warm cedarwood, rich vanilla and sheer musk. If I’m honest I just smell a musty fruity scent but I love it and even my boyfriend complimented the smell!Read More »
I thought I’d share with you my collection of metallic nail polishes in gold, silver and bronze/copper/rose gold! This is just a quick post so enjoy the pictures – all swatches show 2 coats no topcoat.
So that’s it… they’re the only ones I currently own!
I’ve shared with you on a few occasions Poundland’s Make Up Gallery Time to Shine Quick Dry Nail Colours… once here and a second time here.. and today I have some more for you. Now I know they’re pastel colours but I really do like mixing it up in the winter and wearing the lighter colours as well as the dark autumnal/winter colours. Please note that all swatches are more true to colour than the solo bottle shots! Not sure what happened there…
Pink Sherbet is a lovely soft peachy pink that only needed 2 coats for a great application. Sorry I smudged the matte swatch!
Mint Milkshake is a lovely mint green pastel shade, which again only took 2 coats for a smooth opaque finish 🙂
Lavender Cream is a pale lilac that, like most other pale lilacs I have used, needed 3 coats for a good finish but it’s still a gorgeous colour and for £1 you can’t really complain.
Bambino Blue is a pastel blue that unfortunately needed a good 3 coats before it started to look good, which I don’t normally find I have trouble with in other pale blue nail polishes.
So there we have it – a quick post on these stunning pastel Poundland polishes
