January 2016 Nail Box

As the title suggests this is a quick look at the January 2016 Nail Box, which is Valentines themed… Valentine’s Day isn’t really my thing so this box isn’t my favourite, unfortunately but saying that the polishes are still good 🙂

First of all organs sticks always come in handy when doing manicures, especially for removing undated dead cuticle skin after a good soak (I use the Sally Hansen Cuticle Remover usually too). Then there’s the Nail Apothecary 24KT Gold Ridge Filler, which costs £8.95 for 13ml. The label in the box claims that the product:

  • Instantly improves appearance and imperfections
  • Promotes strong, healthy nail growth
  • UV filters protects the nail from discolouration & yellowing
  • Improves wear when used under colour nail enamel

I’m yet to use this product over a long period but I tested it and it did smooth out my nails and left them all shimmery! Not sure what the long term effects are but I’m sure I’ll find out.

Sinful ProShine Babydoll is pink. That’s the only way I can describe this colour! but it’s a good polish, this is 2 coats, and would cost you £7.95 for the 11ml.

Seche Rendezvous is a bright fuchsia pink that looks more neon in this picture than it actually is! But it’s a one-coater (sorry about the messy cleanup) and would normally cost you £9.99 and it’s 14ml.

Nails Inc Alex Hearts are simply little red heart glitters in a clear base. It has a short brush which you use to fish out individual glitter to apply to the nails. 14ml would normally cost you £15 – the price of the subscription!
