Today I have the 4 Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Gel nail paints that were released back in AW15 along with a couple of the original collection. I’ll start with the 3 that are from the original release. (Also, I apologise in advance for the first swatch photos, these were taken before I purchased my light box and therefore the lighting varies…alot!)
Can’t Get You Out Of My Red is just a true bright red. It has quite a jelly finish which I didn’t expect as most of the others are much more creamy. They’ve kept the round brushes that they introduced for another range for this range too! This style brush makes application so much easier for me because they’re the perfect shape for my nail beds. For all the swatches I have applied 2 coats and 1 coat of the special topcoat, as instructed.
You Drive Me Navy is a deep/royal blue that has a cream finish. The name makes me want to use it in a nautical mani!
Do You Pink I’m Sexy? is a light pink-nude colour. Unfortunately 2 coats doesn’t cut it for this one, it’s just too sheer!
Dark Side Of The Shroom is a mushroom brown and is actually one of my favourite colours from this lot as it’s a neutral colour but there’s something different about it.
Vengeance Is Wine is a very deep red BUT again it’s not so much a cream polish and it applies a little sheer so could’ve done with a 3rd coat.
Plum On Baby is a deep plum purple as the name suggests. Again, this could do with another coat, as it’s a bit patchy!
These polishes are meant to last longer than regular polishes but I wore one for 4 days and they chipped, but I guess that’s better than my usual 2 days! You can buy these polishes from Boots and Superdrug and of course from Barry M themselves.
