Itsy Nails London kindly sent me the creme shades from their new Spring Summer 2016 DuraPRO Gel Effect collection to try out. They come in 11ml bottles with a wide, flat brush, my favourite kind. The square lid reveals a round, more ergonomic lid underneath, which makes application so much easier than I thought it was going to be. All of the polishes have a creme finish and are opaque in just 2 coats. They claim to be long lasting and like the other gel-effect nail polishes out there, there’s no need to soak off the polish because they can be removed like with regualr nail polish remover. No faff. The science: “the formula creates an elastic resistant film on the nails which creates a shiny, glossy, gel effect finish”.
All swatches are 2 coats without topcoat.
In Deep is a gorgeous bright blue perfect for those sunny days.
Ooo La La is a mid pink – this one is a little harder to work with and was still a little patchy so probably could do with 1 more coat.
Mellow Yellow is somewhere between a bright and a pastel yellow and is now my third yellow nail polish which I actually like on me! My skin tone isn’t really suited for them normally.
Green With Envy is a bright grass green that isn’t really my colour but it’s still gorgeous – just not for me!
The quality of these nail polishes are pretty decent. I haven’t tested out the longevity of them yet but they apply well and dry quickly to a nice shiny finish without topcoat. I hadn’t heard of the brand until they contacted me but I suggest you go check them out on instagram and browse their website.
All polishes are £5.99 and can be purchased from itsynailslondon.com – who currently have free shipping on orders over £10.
