I need good, affordable brow products in my life and now I have at least 2. Both of these products are from a relatively new brand called Freedom and is a sister line to Makeup Revolution. I’ve reviewed quite a few of their products before and I really rate them as a company, they’re makeup is really good quality and super affordable. Anyway, the newest to my collection are the Pro Brow Pomade and Duo Eyebrow Powder.
First of all, I love the packaging for both of them. The sleek black boxes make them look more expensive than they are and I love that they’re both in a small round pot/compact which makes them easy to travel with.
Brow Pomade in Blonde , 2.5g – £5
I’ve read again and again that this is a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and at a third of the price it is a good dupe at that. The colour is very ash toned but I much prefer this to previous ‘blonde’ products I’ve used from various brands, whether a powder or a pencil, as they always tend to make my eyebrows look ginger… Not a good look when you’re not ginger!
Freedom says: Professional Bold Brow Impact from Pro Brow Pomade is the most effective ‘bullet-proof’ solution for HD Brows. Its gel like formula performs all day for bold brow impact. Perfect for creating professionally defined, natural-looking brows.
I have to agree. It’s long-lasting, smudge proof and waterproof! Also, there are 11 shades to choose from giving you much more option than the usual light, medium and dark so you can pick the correct colour to suit your brows.
Duo Eyeshadow Powder in Blonde
– g, £4 (currently £3 on their website)
So this comes with 2 shades of a blonde powder, with one being slightly cooler toned and a little darker than the other which is great for creating gradient brows that are both defined and natural looking. I’ve heard that this is another dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo, which costs £17.
Freedom says: Natural Brow Perfection from high impact Duo Eyebrow Powders. Available in ten duo-shades to create the perfect brow. Blend the duo to create the perfect match. Use the darker shade in areas with little to no hair, and the lighter shade over the rest of the brows.
When applying the powder there is a bit of fallout but nothing substantial and for me it lasts pretty much all day! They’re are 10 shades in the duo powders range which again is better than most companies supply.
Here are the swatches: from left to right we have the lighter shade of the duo powder, then the darker and finally the brow pomade. I use the powder for a more natural day-to-day look and the pomade for a slightly more dramatic brow in the evenings when I’m going out.
(Please excuse the lack of makeup on the rest of my face…)
I know this isn’t the best application (or photograph) but look how much of a difference the Pro Brow Pomade made to my sparse, lacking blonde eyebrows!
I haven’t used Anastasia Beverly Hills products myself, but from all the reviews I’ve read these are just as good. So if you’re looking for a high quality product for your eyebrows but don’t want to spend a ton of money then I would recommend picking up some Freedom brows
