Okay so this post has been a long time coming… Sorry folks, it just took me a while to find the time this month to get this post up. Better late than never, right? Octobers theme was Sugar Skulls, and is a big contrast to Septembers theme, with its bright colours and flowery items. It contains 2 full size polishes, a mini np, a nail art pen, and 2 nails art items…
I’m not sure how much I’ll use the Fumo flowers but the nail art brush is always handy, I tend to get through them super quick (when I’m actually doing nail art that is).
Annika – White Swan £4.20
A pretty standard white, it takes 3 coats to get opaque and I definitely have others that do it in less, so nothing outstanding.
Deco Miami – Miley What’s Good ~£11
A bright pink jelly that I have nothing much to say about. It neither amazing or terrible! Actually the price is something to discuss… £11 for 5.5ml??
‘Ard As Nails – Taking A Dip £3
This gorgeous mid-blue with a subtle shimmer is actually my favourite item from this box. I own couple of other polishes from ‘Ard As Nails, produced by the Kat from Soap Dodger, so I have nothing but good things to say about this indie polish and I also recommend checking out the bath & body range. This is 2 coats and it is full coverage apart from on one particularly tricky ridge on my ring finger, but that’s nothing to do with the polish really, just my application!
WAH London – Black nail art pen £7
The nail art pen has 2 components to it, a dotting side and a striper brush side. Both work really well and I feel in some situations this will be easier to use that an actual striping brush or dotting tool, but not all. They have a range of colours available on their website too.
Finally, here’s the nail art I did for it. It ended up feeling rushed, not because I had no time but because it’s been forever since I’ve done nail art and I was lacking ideas. Also, my original plan of doing a sugar skull went out the window because I didn’t feel it was relevant. I should’ve done it anyway!
I actually received the November ‘All That Glitters’ Meebox today and I’m so excited to share it with you! And of course, don’t forget to check out my other Meebox Reviews here.
