I purchased these items from Models Own on Black Friday at the end of November, 3 weeks and a lot of faff later I finally received them! I wanted to share you with them at the beginning of the month but of course I couldn’t. Anyway, I picked up 3 of the new polishes from the Glitterball Collection, as well as some other products. I’ll crack on!
Hypereyes – Black Rose: RRP £7.99
Normally I don’t go for the rubber bristled wands on a mascara but the packaging won me over. In fact, I actually really like how this applies. The longer bristles are great at separating the lashes and really getting into the base and the shorter ones are good for the lower lashes. The formula is good too – not to dry but also not so wet that it clumps.
I-Definer – Black on Black: RRP £7.99
Okay so this is a lot more than I would usually pay for an eyeliner, even with discount, but I wanted to try it and it matches the mascara. Bad I know! It is a twist up pencil, so doesn’t need to be sharpened, but it does it include a mini sharpener for the nib so you can keep a precise line! It has a really creamy formula and can be blended – maybe a little too well? I’m not sure how long it will last or whether it will end up moving down my face…
LIX RRP £7.99 each
Both perfect colours for this time of year, I may as well wear Candy Cane on Christmas! They have a great formula, almost powdery, but not too drying and they definitely smell of mint!
Glitterball Collection RRP £4.99 each
The Precious is a silver holographic glitter with a clear base. I know it’s not full coverage after 3 coats but a lot of people had swatched it using the sponging method of application and I wanted to see how it applied with the regular way. It still looks pretty on the nail though…
Showbiz also has silver holographic glitters in but has a dark grey base, which gives it a different look. Also, although I did the same amount of coats it appears a lot fuller coverage than The Precious.
I’m pretty sure this one has gold holographic glitters in and has a slightly tinted base also. Again, it has more coverage than The Precious and I think this is to do with the colour tint it has.
Okay, that’s everything I got this time. I’ve given you the RRP prices as I can’t even remember how much discount was given on Black Friday, but I didn’t pay full price. I also didn’t get all of the Glitterball polishes as I don’t think I would’ve have worn Glitz ‘n’ Glam (blue) or Tinsel Town (pink).
