It’s Christmas Eve! I thought this would be a good time to share what was in the Makeup Revolution 12 Days of Christmas. I’ll get straight to it, as theres a lot of products to show you. I may not be opening these in the same order as other people because they got wrapped up.
All the ‘gifts’ come in individual packages, with the same black and copper design as the outer box. It kind of annoyed me that the items all had what they were on the outside of them, as I wanted them to be a surprise. So I got my boyfriend to wrap them, haha!
Day 1: Lip Gloss Nude Edit
If you aren’t aware, Makeup Revolution have various types of lip gloss. There’s the lip sheer, which is the palest colour in this case (unfortunately no names other than the type of gloss), then we have the lip amplification, and lip euphoria (the darkest colour). None of them feel overly sticky which is good, but I can only really get away with wearing the darkest shade because I’m so pale.
Day 2: Ultra Strobe Balm Palette
I absolutely love this palette. You get 8 strobe balms for highlighting and none of them are the same. I prefer this to highlighting powder as it’s not glittery. I’ve tried out 2 of the colours and they apply really well.
Day 3: Blush Palette
Another gorgeous palette. Some of the shades look similar in the palate but when I swatched them they come out slightly different. It’s a great palette for packing to go away as you get a choice of colours rather than having to pick just 1 blush to take! They also have great pigmentation.
Day 4: Aqua Priming Base
I have yet to use this but I have heard good things about it before, so I’m excited to see if it works like it should! One thing I will say is that the packaging feels a bit cheap…
Day 5: Makeup Fixing Spray
Again, I have yet to try this and the packaging isn’t what I would like… I’m also a bit skeptical about spraying something on my face once Ive finished my makeup.
Day 6: Ultra Strobe Cream
Another strobing product, but I like this one too! It leaves more of a subtle highlight that the balms and again, isn’t glittery.
Day 7: Ultra Contour Stick
I was actually surprised to see how pale and cool-toned the contour shade was in this. I thought it wouldn’t be wearable for me but I can definitely use this product. The highlighting shade is pretty pale too. They both apply smoothly and blend out well when using a sponge.
Day 8: Ultra Strobe Stick
By this point, I’m a bit fed up of the strobing products… I think 2 is enough, right? This one contains one golden highlight and an icy-peach toned highlight.
Day 9: Focus & Fix Eye Primer
A good edition to my makeup collection, as I don’t own any eye primer. I haven’t used this one yet either but it looks like it creates a good base for the eyeshadow to be applied to.
Day 10: HD Pro Brow
This is a great brow palette, as it includes the powders, various waxes and brow highlighting products. However, unfortunately the brow powders are way too dark for me, so I gifted it to a friend!
Day 11: Eyeshadow Palette – Matte 18 Edit
Even though it’s called a ‘matte’ palette, not all the shades are matte! It has quite a few gorgeous shimmery shades in it and although they’re all pretty neutral you can create some gorgeous looks with this palette. Some of the lighter shades are a bit powdery and give fall out but other than that the shadows have a good creamy formula.
Day 12: Eyeshadow Palette – Matte Forecast 18 Edit
This palette actually is all matte and some more interesting colours in. Although, I had the same issue as the previous palette where the lighter shades aren’t as good as the darker ones.
Overall, I really enjoyed this 12 Days of Christmas from Makeup Revolution. I purchased it for £35 (RRP £50) and the items are definitely worth more than that when you look at the items individual prices on the website.
I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas Day, wherever you are!

Haha! Well I hope you enjoy yours! I loved getting mine. It was just when I had started using MUR but now I have so many of their palettes, etc. that I feel there’s no point in me getting this years! X
