It’s taken me a little longer than I’d like to get this bumper box reviewed! I recieved it on time but I went home for 2 weeks at Christmas and I didn’t take much home with me in the terms of nail supplies. I also didn’t have the right lighting and I didn’t want to give you poor quality swatches. Anyway, the December Meebox was a big one with a whopping value of £64.48 (to be precise) and having only paid the same £20 as the other months, I’m thoroughly impressed!
Zoya – Goldie. RRP £11.50Such a gorgeous yellow-gold. This is 2 coats, no topcoat. This is only my second Zoya polish and I’m just as impressed as the first time I tried it. But I’m still not convinced about spending that much money on just ONE polish!
Kure Bazaar – Pigalle. RRp £14I sponged this red glitter onto my nails (a little messy around the edges) but it would also make a great topper! I did apply a topcoat but I think it needed more, so it’s a thirsty glitter…
Leighton Denny – Jailbird. RRP £12How gorgeous is this emerald green/teal! Again, only my second Leighton Denny polish but I really love the formula. I find that with metallic polishes they can come out very streaky but this one isn’t too bad! A few noticeable brushstrokes but otherwise good. 2 coats, no topcoat.
MoYou – Fairy tale’s Collection stamping plate (12). RRP £5.99Such a cute stamping plate! I love the little figures – adorable. I like the use of the emerald city buildings to provide different patterns too.
MoYou – stamper and scraper. RRP 2.99 I’m not so impressed with this! Only because I’m now used to using a clear stamper, so going back to this was difficult. It is super squishy though, a little small, but picks up the image well!
NCLA – Instant Nail Fashion in Gingham. RRP £13Very Dorothy-esque! Application of these is easy, just stick down onto your nail and file away the excess from the end! Done.
‘Ard As Nails – Nail & Cuticle Oil. RRP £5A great little addition. I love carrying around cuticle oil with me and now I have another to add to my collection. Smells and feels lovey and I like that it has a lipgloss applicator – a bit different to the brush style I’m used to.
What do you think of this months theme and items? I loved it personally and here’s the nail art I created for it! (excuse the wonky stamping!)
I look forward to next months theme too – Galentines!
