Born Pretty Store Supplies Review*

This post contains PR samples and affiliate links.

It’s that time of the month again where I review items sent to me by Born Pretty Store. This time I have 5 powders, 1 gel polish, 1 matte polish and a nail art brush! Quite a bundle. I’ll start with the powders – sorry for the mess, I’m still learning with these!

Chrome/Mirror/Chameleon Powder: 1 g – 76p each
Born Pretty Store Chrome nail powdersIMG_3086Born Pretty Store Chrome nail powdersThese 4 were something I didn’t ask to try out but they sent them to me anyway! From index to pinky finger we have #2, #4, #3 & #1. I’ve applied them over a black gel base using a sponge applicator. I need to work on my liquid latex application and clean up on these! I’d love to try #2 over white! I can confirm that this works sandwiched between water-based peel off basecoat as well as gel polish. You can purchase these (and more) here.

Holographic Laser Powder: 0.5g – £1.53Born Pretty Store Holographic Laser PowderIMG_3089Born Pretty Store Holographic Laser PowderBorn Pretty Store Holographic Laser PowderBorn Pretty Store Holographic Laser PowderBorn Pretty Store Holographic Laser PowderI think my application was a bit better for this one! Again, this is applied over a black gel base but just look at that rainbow! Such beautiful holo flakies. This also works with water-based peel off base coat. You can purchase this product here.

Platinum Starry Soak Of Gel Polish (01): 10ml – £3.06Born Pretty Store Platinum Starry Soak Of Gel PolishBorn Pretty Store Platinum Starry Soak Of Gel PolishIMG_3101IMG_3102Born Pretty Store Platinum Starry Soak Of Gel PolishThis gel polish is a lovely chunky holographic polish. I’ve only ever used very fine holo polishes so this made a change! Also, this is just 2 coats and it was actually quite a smooth application. You can find this, along with many other colour variations here.

Matte Nail Polish (14): 9ml – £3.06Born Pretty Store Matte Nail Lacquer 14Born Pretty Store Matte Nail Lacquer 14I was a little disappointed in this matte nail polish… The colour is lovely but the formula is a bit chalky and difficult to work with… but if you can deal with that, then it’s fine! You can pick this up, in this shade and more, here.

Marble Nail Art Brush (14): 7mm detail brush – £1.53Born Pretty Store Marble Nail Art BrushIMG_3097IMG_3100A lovely little detail brush that stays thin and quite easy to control! Sorry for the slightly pathetic example of brush strokes! You can get this and many others in the marble design here.

So there we have it! A nice little bundle from Born Pretty Store. I might have to get myself some more of those chunky glitter gel polishes.
