Nicole Diary: Nail Items Review*

I was offered to review some items from Nicole Diary, another site like Born Pretty Store that stocks affordable beauty items, but it focuses solely on nail items. I decided to choose a mixture of polishes and nail art items to try out, to get a good feel for the shop.

fullsizeoutput_17e7First up I thought I would try out one of the Opal Jelly Gels [# 233] in Peach Kiss [CJ05], costing £2.80 for 6ml. The colour turned out a little more orange than peachy than I expected but it applied well and I’m sure I can find a use for it!Nicole Diary Peach Kiss Opal Jelly GelI applied the next product, the Lilac [03] water decals [# 119], over the gels but I wish I’d used a white to make them really pop! I still have some left, so maybe next time. These were really easy to apply – you just cut the decal to size, remove the plastic covering and let it soak in water until it comes away from the backing easily (about 15-30 seconds). You then place the decal on the nail and use a sponge or cotton wool pad to absorb the excess water, file away any messy edges and then add topcoat! This sheet cost £1.40. Nicole Diary Lilac 03 water decalfullsizeoutput_17edI used the final 2 products to create a very Summery nail art design! The ND-L001 stamping plate [# 20] is obviously going to be great for the Summer and costs just £2.80. I used the copper NDS05 stamping polish [# 239], also £2.80 (for 9ml), to stamp with and filled in with various bright colours for these lolly nails!Nicole Diary ND-L001 stamping plateNicole Diary ND-L001 stamping plate and NDS05 stamping polish

Overall, I’m impressed with these items, especially for the price! I’ll definitely be trying out some more items in the future…
