I have 2 of the new butter LONDON Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer shades to share with you today, plus one of their regular nail lacquers. The Patent Shine 10X is meant to provide “a fade-resistant, fast-drying nail polish that applies effortlessly to deliver chip-resistant colour with a gel-like cushioned effect for up to ten days”. It also states that no basecoat or topcoat is needed but (and I don’t know about you) I would feel weird not using them! I haven’t tested out the longevity of the polishes yet but I can tell you about the colours, application and finish.
AftersMy love for deep burgundy reds will always reappear at this time of year. I love to wear them throughout autumn and winter and this will definitely be worn a few times. This polish has a rich creme formula but doesn’t apply to thickly and is very easy to control. This is 2 coats, no topcoat.
ToffThis is a gorgeous dark mauve colour that will be perfect for all year round wear and is also work appropriate. The formula on this one is much the same as Afters – it applies really well! 2 coats, no topcoat.
The new Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer range is available to buy from Marks and Spencers at £15 each for 11ml.
The final polish I have for you is from the regular nail polish line (which was actually sent to me by mistake but I was kindly allowed to keep it).
KipThis polish is a very pretty light grey/blue with a very subtle shimmer – making it perfect for winter months! The formula on this isn’t as good as on the previous 2 polishes as it require 2 coats. It does cost £2 less though, at £12 for 11ml (also available at Marks and Spencers).
This is another new-to-me brand, much like Korres, and I think it’s always fun to try new brands and it’s even better when they’re both cruelty free!
