Long story short, these polishes were sat in my swatch basket for MONTHS. Literally. And it made me sad that I never got around to sharing these polishes with you while they were still available but I’ve decided to do it anyway because they’re gorgeous. These are all from Danglefoot Nail Polish and are from the Tim Burton and Roald Dahl collections – 2 of my favourite creative people! Even though these particular polishes can no longer be purchased, you can still check out what other beauties are up for grabs… after you’ve read this post of course! Tim Burton Collection
This is a beautiful plum purple with shimmers of a purple-blue-green shift! I absolutely love this polish. 2 coats shown.
Edward Scissor HandsA gorgeous dark grey with a similar shimmer running through it as in Sleepy Hollow, this one looks more purple. This is 2 coats.
Roald Dahl CollectionThe Great Mouse PlotA mid-light grey with silver and iridescent flakies – you can see the latter better in the macros; they’re a pinky-purple colour! Honestly? I have never read this book and I don’t know how! I do love this polish though. This is 2 coats.
We’re In Dream Country NowOkay, this is one of my favourite nail polishes, EVER! Just look at the gorgeous deep, dark plum purple jelly base and all of those purple and pink mixes of glitters suspended in it! It just has so much depth (this is 2 coats) AND it’s based on one of my favourite books by Roald Dahl – The BFG.
WhizpoppersAnother beauty based on The BFG! And if this isn’t just autumn in a bottle, I don’t know what is. I love the burnt orange (cold) to yellow (warm) transition and the gold flakies just really add depth to the polish. This is 2 coats.
George’s Marvellous Medicine
I can’t count how many times I read this book as a kid, it was one of my all-time favourites and as soon as I saw this polish I just knew I had to get it. It is so like what I imagined George’s Marvellous Medicine to look like! This mid (warm) to cobalt (cold) blue transition was a little hard to capture but you can really see the difference in real life. I love the addition of little sparkles and orange/pink flakies. This is 2 coats again.
Honestly, I would really recommend investing in some Danglefoot Nail Polishes if you haven’t already. The collections are always so creative and the polishes are such high quality. Head over to the website to see what’s currently available!
