I know, I’m a couple of month behind on the Mani and Lola boxes… But at least I’m finally getting around to sharing the January box! The February box is to follow. The January box was all about fresh starts and had 4 nail polishes and 3 nail care items. Read More »

I’ll warn you now… this is a lengthy but not so wordy post! Last year I didn’t do much nail art, at all, and so one of my Blog Resolutions was to do some! I plunged in with two nail art challenges this month – the #glamnailschallengejan and the #teamnailprincess v #teamnailvillain. I’ll start with the January Glam Nails Challenge, run by @nbnailart and @natilartbylia_.

Today I have some Christmas nail polishes from China Glaze. Unfortunately they’re not new releases but ones from 2015 and even 2014! But they’re still pretty regardless. I used to have more but a couple of my 2014 ones had dried up beyond saving, sadly. I’ll start with the newer polishes which were part of a Mini Mixer set.
I thought I’d share with you my collection of metallic nail polishes in gold, silver and bronze/copper/rose gold! This is just a quick post so enjoy the pictures – all swatches show 2 coats no topcoat.
So that’s it… they’re the only ones I currently own!
It’s Christmas Eve! Hurray! I’m super excited… even though I’m currently at work whilst you’re reading this.. (scheduled post!) but it does make the time pass quicker! I thought I would do Mr and Mrs Claus for my christmas eve nail art. Enjoy!
For this nail art I started with one coat of NYC Pinstripe White (reviewed here) on my index and pinky and 2 coats of China Glaze Just Be-Claws on my middle and ring finger. I wanted Mr and Mrs Claus to sparkle! I then added one coat of Moyra Angel Dust over the white and let it dry whilst I did the details on my other fingers. I used a dotting tool to add the white fluff to their coats and acrylic paint and a nail art brush to add the belts. The gold detailing was done using China Glaze Mingle with Kringle, which I also brushed over Angel Dust using a fan brush. I’m not sure about this bit but oh well… I finished the Mr and Mrs off with a top coat and it’s done. Very festive! I actually received the China Glaze polishes last year for Christmas and I haven’t really worn any of the reds that I got but now is the right time!
I hope you all have a very lovely Christmas, enjoy the food and let all your wishes come true!
My swatches of days 21-24 from my Ciaté minimanimonth will be up on boxing day 🙂
