MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer Swatches

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer Full Collection: Swatches & Review

*UPDATED*

I’ve added the three newest shades to this post (marked * *)!

MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers apply like a gloss, with a doe-foot applicator and great formula, but dry to a matte finish – with no smudging! Which is why I love them. I know I’ve swatched a load of the Velvet Lip Lacquers before but in the last 2 months they’ve released 6 more of them and I wanted to put all my swatches in one place. So, today I spent many hours, resulting in very sore lips, swatching the new shades (and re-swatching the old ones) to finally compile them all in one post! I haven’t included the older shades which are no longer sold on the MUA site (a couple are still available on Superdrug). Let me tell you, it’s taken a while to get this up! I’ll keep the descriptions short and brief as there are 30 colours to get through… Enjoy!Read More »

Collection Velvet Kisses

I’ve been picking up these Collection Velvet Kiss lip creams every time I’ve been popping into Boots. The good news is they are only £2.99 each (currently in the 3 for 2 offer!) and I now own all 6 shades. They have a doe-foot applicator and a creamy moisturising formula that isn’t drying at all on the lips. I think they’re meant to be a dupe for the NYX Professional Makeup Soft Matte lip creams – which I’ve never worn but from swatching them in store they seem to be very similar but I can’t make an accurate comparison, unfortunately! Read More »

Budget Friendly Lipkits: Primark & Barry M

Having reviewed Makeup Revolution Lipkits before (not a fan!) and lip kits becoming a ‘thing’, I’ve decided to have a look at a couple of other brands to see if I like any of the others. Recently, both Primark and Barry M have released their own lip kits so I grabbed a few. I actually wanted a couple of colours from Primark but I could only find one, sadly! But I have two from Barry M too.Read More »

Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kits Swatches and Review

Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kits: Swatches & Review

Okay, I’m going to start by apologising for the terrible lighting in these… okay it might not be terrible but it’s not great either! The room I usually use for swatches and such is my bedroom, which is currently out of bounds due to work being done that involves taking down part of the wall due to a leak… Leaving my boyfriend and myself to live in our living room/kitchen for possibly 2 weeks or more! I can do work in the living room at the table but the lighting is terrible. It’s a dark room because it’s at the back of the house and trees block any sunlight that might actually reach it… So, I’m left with crappy yellow-toned downlighters which create horrible shadows and my LED white light lamp which kind of saves the day – to an extent!

Sorry, enough about that… Makeup Revolution has released ‘dupes’ for the Kylie Jenner Lip Kits, called the Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kits (a bit of a mouthful!) and although I don’t own any of Kylie’s products for comparison, I thought I’d pick up some the kits for a stand-alone review. Read More »
