MUA have really upped their game this year. I loved them before (I own ALL of the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers) but now I can’t get enough of them! Their newest drop included a load of highlighters – cream, baked, powder, jelly… you name it! Most of it is under the PRISM range, which one of my items is from but I’m going to start with the Light Lustre Highlight Duos. Three were released, all at £5 each, and I grabbed Splendour because the colours seemed most suitable for my skin shade (read: super fucking pale). You can pick them up from the MUA site or from Superdrug. Read More »
I’ve added the three newest shades to this post (marked * *)!
MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers apply like a gloss, with a doe-foot applicator and great formula, but dry to a matte finish – with no smudging! Which is why I love them. I know I’ve swatched a load of the Velvet Lip Lacquers before but in the last 2 months they’ve released 6 more of them and I wanted to put all my swatches in one place. So, today I spent many hours, resulting in very sore lips, swatching the new shades (and re-swatching the old ones) to finally compile them all in one post! I haven’t included the older shades which are no longer sold on the MUA site (a couple are still available on Superdrug). Let me tell you, it’s taken a while to get this up! I’ll keep the descriptions short and brief as there are 30 colours to get through… Enjoy!Read More »
I say miracle concealer because some, if not all, of the shades are at least 2 shades lighter than my skin which is perfect for concealing dark circles and brightening under the eyes. I purchased the Porcelain palette but there are 6 other colour choices out there for you. I’ve always used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 which is definitely not light enough to brighten under me eyes and I haven’t been able to find a concealer that is, that I like and has good coverage, until now! I’m really loving the new MUA Pro-Base Cover & Conceal Kit.Read More »
MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer Swatches
I know I swatched a couple of the MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers not long ago but then I found a bundle of 8 on their website for £20.00. I then got £4 off of that price so in total I saved myself £8 as they’re normally £3 each – a bargain as it is! I really liked the formula for the price and they have a load of different colours. I now own 9 of them but there are 9 more on their website to choose from. You can also find them in Superdrug, in-store and online. Read More »
Okay, so I was in Superdrug…again…and noticed that the MUA nail polishes were only 50p. 50p! So obviously I grabbed a couple, I didn’t go wild because I was already buying a load of other makeup products – as you’ll see in Saturday’s blog post. I already own a few of these and this time I picked up just 2 in the colours Leapfrog and Orchid to add to my mini collection Read More »
